Training begins over the summer during our three-day summer workshop. Our summer workshop is a comprehensive event for all levels of advisers, staff, editors and photographers. It includes instruction on design, writing techniques, photography, and technology instruction for Adobe Photoshop^®, Adobe InDesign^® and Yearbook 360.

We then follow up with our fall one-day workshop, Spooktacular. Spooktacular takes place the last week of October at Dave and Busters in San Diego. Topics taught at Spooktacular vary each year and is tailored to the needs and interests of the schools attending. This workshop continue to build on the skills yearbook staff learned from the summer workshop.
